Q. Why should I hire a pet sitter instead of taking my pet to a kennel?

A. Pets thrive on routine, familiarity, and feeling secure in their own home. When pets are taken out of their home and placed in a boarding facility, they are usually kept in cages most of the day and night and exposed to other animals, increasing risk of infection or disease. Many times upon returning home from a kennel, pets act out and it can take days to recover.

Q. Is it more expensive to use your service instead of a kennel or vet?

A. If you only have one pet, it may be a little more expensive to have a pet sitter come to your home (though worth every penny!), but if you have two or more pets, you can actually save money with Marti’s Pet Sitting!

Q. When do you conduct the initial visit and what happens during that time?

A. The initial visit is conducted when you are home so that we can get acquainted with you and your pets, go over their routines, likes, dislikes, and of course, paperwork. We get everything we need such as keys, emergency info, etc., so that we are ready to go on the day of your pet sitting visit! There is no charge for this visit.
